Dark Sites and What They Do

Messagepar jonsmaradona » jeu. 03 juin 2021, 08:52

What is the dark web? It has been a source of curiosity for people who spend time browsing the Internet and hackers who search for vulnerabilities on the systems of any organization. The dark web is nothing more than the World Wide Web Content which exists on hidden overlays, meaning that it is not viewable by the general public. This type of hidden content is referred to as a "dark net" because it cannot be viewed through search engines such as Google or Yahoo! Since many governments and defense industry research centers have been active in creating dark web browser implants that can be used for spying purposes, the term "dark net" has come to be used. Basically, the dark web is where the Internet does not exist and every transaction that takes place on the Internet is done so via tunnels that make up this hidden part of the World Wide Web.

So, how does the dark web sites get its name? Many speculate that the term market was created in reaction to the Silk Road online drug market, which was known for using Tor directories to conceal the true nature of their transactions. Others believe that the term was spawned from people trying to come up with a better name for the dark web which would make the Internet less vulnerable to attack; however, many other researchers feel that it simply originated with someone trying to explain the phenomena of the Internet. Whatever the case may be, the dark web does indeed encompass every type of hidden content that is not viewable on standard search engines, and these include things like email attachments, bank accounts, credit card numbers, user names and passwords, and websites that have not been found through conventional means.

There have been a number of instances over the past few years where detectives from around the country have been able to locate active, hidden sites that have been archived on the dark web. In one instance, detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department were able to uncover the real name of a porn actor who was thought to be dead after his real identity was uncovered from archived information on the dark web. In another case, a man from Ohio was accused of running a massive Ponzi scheme that utilized several hundred thousand dollars in credit card transfers. This man, Steven Grossman, had been believed to be dead until detectives discovered that he was actually living in Las Vegas with his partner. The discovery of his real identity enabled them to bust his Ponzi scheme which ultimately resulted in Grossman's jail sentence.
